11. Barry Bonds - Still not officially signed with the SF. Will be 43 is July, but could still hit 30 HRs in limited duty. Should hit for a decent average and 90 RBIs.
12. Carlos Quentin - Hit .314 and slugged .616 at Chase Field. Great patience for a young hitter, will be RF staple in Arizona for years to come. My expectations may be a little lofty, but I'm expecting a .300/24/95 season.
13. Eric Byrnes - In his first season full season as a National Leaguer, Byrnes surprised a lot of people with career highs in HR and SB. ARZ was expecting a one year stop gap at CF, but were so impressed with him that they re-signed him to play LF now that Chris Young is ready for everyday duty.
14. Mike Cameron - Perrenial 20/20 guy. Will be in the middle of the SD lineup, so we may continue to see improvement in the RBI dept.
15. Jacque Jones - Had his best season since '02. Could improve further if he is still in that stacked Cub's lineup in '07. Rumors are swirling here in Chicago of his departure, though.
16. Josh Willingham - Solid rookie year for this slugger. My only concern is his paltry .231 BA with RISP. Has the power to hit 30 HRs.
17. Jim Edmonds - Battled all kinds of injuries in 2006. Had surgery to correct his "hammer toe" in the off-season. Still a decent option in NL only leagues.
18. Brad Hawpe - Started '06 off with a bang, but really struggled in the second half. Hit .268 and had only 7 HRs after the All-Star Break. Rumor is they are trying Jeff Baker in the OF which could mean a platoon in RF. Keep an eye on the situation in the spring as this could drop Hawpe precipitously in the rankings.
19. Chris B. Young - Expectations are high for this highly touted prospect. This Mike Cameron-clone could end up hitting for more power as he fills out his 6'2 frame. Has shown a tremendous amount of patience in the minors to go along with the power and speed. Will not dissapoint his awaiting ARZ fans.
20. Matt Murton - Matt Murton? Yes, Matt Murton! If you combine Murton's first two seasons, you get 595 ABs, 20 HRs, 76 RBIs, and a .303 BA. Pretty solid numbers for a whole season, right? Hit .319 in the second half to go along with his 9 HRs in only 207 ABs. Hopefully the Cub's mgmt sees it this way.
