3 Up-
1. Todd Linden- Doesn't have a job, yet. The Giant's outfield is too old to stay healthy for a whole year. And besides, they will need a lot of days off so I believe Linden will be the beneficiary. He had a great Winter League outing and he's out of minor league options. With his minor league numbers, the Giants would be foolish not to get him in the lineup consistently.
2. Tim Lincecum - Many of you were probably expecting to see him as #1 in the "3 Down" portion of my SF analysis, but I think he makes the big club out of spring. Might be used as a reliever until they realize that Russ Ortiz is really bad, and should fit in nicely as their #5 starter. Has great stuff and was lights out in college. Think Mark Prior ala 2002.
3. Rich Aurilia - Yeah, I know...I'm probably pushing it a little bit with this one, but his versatility alone is invaluable. He's eligible at 1B, SS, and 3B which means you only need one guy to back up three positions in your NL only leagues. He absolutely crushed LHs last year by slugging .680 against in 146 ABs. I'm not saying start him at any of those positions, but as a back-up to three positions, he allows you the ability to take a flier on another high risk/high reward guy.
3 Down-
1. Nate Schierholtz OF
2. Billy Sadler RP
3. Angel Villanona 3b - 17 year old phenom still a few years away

I'd like to see Lincecum make the
opening day roster. Very exciting
prospect. Great to see the Giants
with some young talent.
Love your 3 Up/3 down posts. I've
only recently found your site, but
have enjoyed everything so far.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the post!
