Luke, I am your...

As mentioned in my previous post, I had the pleasure of watching PIT @ HOU last night. Pretty exciting game actually. Oswalt was great as usual. Duke also pitched well. He was able to keep the ball down and mixed his pitches nicely. No Ks though. He reminds me more of Glavine than Chuck James (normally gets all the Glavine comments).

Who really stuck out for me though was Luke Scott. He's currently owned in only 40% of CBS Sportsline leagues. Garner mentioned prior to the game that Scott had won the job in RF outright from Lane, but somewhat retracted that statement today by saying it would be a semi-platoon. As I've pointed out in previous posts, Scott didn't hit all that well against lefties last year (.244), but he found a way to get on base against them as evidenced by his .397 OBP. He hung in there nicely against Duke yesterday. Going the other way once for a single and then driving a Duke fastball to center for a HR. I think this guy has a lot of upside and wouldn't be surprised to see HOU trade Lane or just make Scott their permanent RF.
